Today I want to talk to you about using tenths. Adding the tenth to the bass note you are playing with the left hand can add some depth to the song. The tenth interval is a fairly big stretch, so one option is to roll over to the tenth. If you do this, be sure to use the sustain pedal so the note you were playing rings out.
While adding the tenth can add some depth to the sound, don't over due it. If you use the trick too much, the sound will become muddy sounding and distract from some of the depth that you've added.
