Learn How To Play The G Minor Harmonic Scale On The Piano!

Today we are learning the G minor harmonic scale. Before I show you the fingering, let's look at the notes of the scale. They are G, A, B flat, C, D, E flat, G flat, and back to G.

Start with the thumb of the right hand on the G. Work your way up until the third finger hits the B flat. Now cross your thumb under and continue up the scale. You will end with your pinky on the G. Reverse the procedure to come back down the scale.

The left hand starts off with the pinky on the G. Work your way up finger by finger until your thumb hits the D. Next bring your third finger over to the E flat and continue until you finish the scale with your thumb on the G. Coming back down the scale is just the opposite.

For the next lesson, you can practice the G Minor Melodic Scale.
